Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/5/2024 at 2:20pm. There were 68 School-Agers directly supervised by 6 staff. The physical plant, 7 staff records, 7 children?s records, 7 children's medications and medication authorization records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, socializing, eating snack, and playing outside. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Description: Based on review, the facility did not ensure that they followed their own policy of returning outdated medications.
Evidence: reviewed 7 children's medication records and found that one child had outdated medication that had not been returned to the family or disposed of. Child 2 had albuterol that expired on 10/2023, but was still kept on site.
