Comments:
A renewal inspection was initiated on 4/10/2024 and concluded on4/10/2024. There were 23 children present with six staff supervising and one kitchen staff present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and three staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10:30 am and concluded at12:30 pm.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A
Description: Based on observation the center failed to ensure that the areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
The black plastic playground boarder is cracked which could entangle clothing or snag skin.

Plan of Correction: The staff have a work day on 4/12/24 and they will request that the boarders be replaced.
