LI and director discussed 8VAC20-780-500-B-7 The diapering surface shall be used only for diapering or cleaning children, and it shall be cleaned with soap and at least room temperature water and sanitized after each use.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director on April 8, 2024, beginning at 12:00 p.m. and ending at 1:41 p.m. There were 16 school-aged children in the direct care of 5 staff. The children were observed finishing lunch and getting ready for nap time. Five children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. Four staff records were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed and in compliance. One medication and allergy care plan were reviewed and in compliance.

Evidence: In the 3-year-old classroom, one child?s hands were not washed after lunch. In the preschool classroom, a staff did not wash hands after assisting a child in the bathroom and children did not wash hands after finishing lunch. Plan of Correction: Not available online.
