A monitoring inspection was conducted today between 12:00pm and 1:00pm. There were 12 children present, with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed during circle time, singing, having lunch and getting ready for nap. A total of 5 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-A Description: Based on observation, children's hands were not washed with soap and running water after eating meals or snacks.

After lunch children did not wash their hands.Plan of Correction: Staff will ensure all hands are washed before and after meals and snack.
