The annual Health and Safety Training was discussed.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documentation review, and a virtual tour of the program.
An annual subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was initiated on September 24, 2021 and concluded on September 27, 2021. There were 2 children present with the Vendor supervising. A code compliance inspection was also conducted on this date. The Vendor is current in CPR/First Aid and has conducted monthly Emergency drills as well as the shelter in place drills and annual Lockdown drill. The Vendor stated she has more then 4 children enrolled but they attend different times and days. The daily attendance report was also reviewed and it indicated the children's attendance occurs at different times.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-H Description: Based on interview and record review, it was determined the Vendor did not attend 16 hours in annual training and this includes health and safety yearly update.
Evidence:
1. Vendor was inspected a year ago and since that date has attended 8 hours in training. The Vendor did not attend the yearly 3 hour Health and Safety Update course.Plan of Correction: I will attend the update training in the next month and I will obtain all the training hours.
