Technical Assistance:
1. Discussed health and safety practices as related to the health pandemic.
2. Linens/blankets used by children should be laundered weekly, and should be used to cover the cots when children are napping.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, including phone interview, records review, and virtual observations. An on-site inspection was not conducted at this time.

A scheduled initial subsidy inspection was conducted at 9:30am. The vendor was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection with the assistance of a language translator. There were no children present at the time of inspection. The daycare was sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Information gathered during the inspection determined there were areas of non-compliance with applicable standards or laws reviewed. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-H
Description: Based on interview conducted, it was determined that the vendor has not completed the Virginia Health and Safety Training course.

Plan of Correction: The vendor will complete the training course every year.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-250-A
Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that potentially poisonous substances were accessible to children. Evidence: Cleaning supplies located in the living room, bathroom, and on the dining table were within reach of the children.

Plan of Correction: The vendor said she will move all cleaning supplies out of reach of the children. Shelves have been purchased and will be hung on the wall for storage, and placed out of reach.
