8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

An unannounced annual subsidy inspection was conducted on 1/26/24 from 11:50 to 12:30. The vendor had 4 children in care at the time of the inspection totaling 3 points.
The children were celebrating a child's 13th birthday with cake and pizza. Lots of supplies for the children and interaction between caregiver and children is evident.
A violation notice was given to the vendor at the time of the inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-270-A Description: Based on the observation during the inspection, the vendor failed to keep cleaning agents out of reach of children.
Evidence: The vendor has spray disinfectant and spay cleaners in the bathroom used by children. The cleaners are stored next to the toilet on the floor.Plan of Correction: I will remove the cleaners to the cabinet with a safety lock under the sink.
