Current Inspector: Ann Dramstad (703) 314-0860

Inspection Date: Aug. 4, 2022

Complaint Related: No

Areas Reviewed:
X 22.1 Background Checks Code
X 63.2 Child abuse and neglect
X 8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Technical Assistance:
Consultation was given on obtaining the annual health and safety Subsidy training and going to the park for outside play time each day to use large muscles and run around. Advised using the wooden crib instead of the pack-n-play for the sleeping infant for safety as soft sided cribs have been known to collapse.

Comments:
An annual monitoring visit was conducted for the LOH home. Three children were in care with the vendor for 8 points which is within ratios for supervision. The infant was sleeping during the visit and the other two children were on mats watching TV and eating snack. All food is bought from home. The children use the main living room space, bathroom as well as a bedroom for the crib and pack-n-play. Provider's son was helpful with translation as needed during the visit. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance.
