Technical Assistance:
Discussion with Anat Litwok, School-Age Services and Camp Achva Director about the program to be held this summer on site at Gesher Jewish Day School. This license will have the same sponsorship (board officers) as Pozez JCC / Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia.

During today's virtual inspection a tour of the facility and grounds took place; as well as a discussion of the program, policies, and the initial application. Areas not covered during the Initial Inspection were marked undetermined and will be reviewed around the 2 month mark after the issuance of the conditional license, such areas would include: children files, staff files, medication, supervision, programing, a closer inspection of outdoor equipment, and nutrition. Ms. Litwok agreed to submit the number of toilets, sinks, and urinals available on site to the children in care.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

An Initial inspection was concluded on 06/01/2021. The Director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. Since the program has yet to open, there were no children or staff present (except for Director). The Licensing Inspector has been in contact with the Director in order to obtain the list of documents required to complete the Initial application. The Inspector reviewed (3) board officer records, (1) contact person's record, and (1) person who is empowered to act on behalf of the center record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.

If you should have any questions, please call or send an email to charles.perkins@dss.virginia.gov. Thank you.
