Discussed new hire orientation training, medication administration and online reporting of serious injuries ( IROMT) on the www.childcareva.com website.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today (7/29/2022) from 9:40 am-10:30 am. There were 38 children directly supervised by 8 staff. All children were observed participating in a Carnival with small group activities set up around the main gym area. A sample of staff records, 2 child records, medications and medication administration policies and procedures, accident reporting, emergency preparedness planning, supplies and drills and trainings for all staff on site were reviewed.
Information gathered determined areas of non-compliance and are noted on the VIOLATION NOTICE.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-P Description: Based upon record review, written record of children's serious and minor injuries did not include required components.
Evidence: A sample of a child accident report did not include; date and time parents were notified, Any future action to prevent recurrence of the injury, staff and parent signatures or two staff signatures and documentation of how parent was notified.Plan of Correction: Program management will work with corporate to correct form.
