Comments:
Today an announced initial inspection was conducted beginning at 11:00am and ending at 12:40pm. The physical plant, staff qualifications, background checks, policies and procedures, the emergency preparedness plan, required postings, emergency materials, and drop-off/pick-up procedures were reviewed with the Manager. Classroom measurements were received for space calculations to determine capacity. The room being used for camp did not currently have supplies, equipment, and age appropriate activities for children, as the camp will not begin until June. Prior to the start of the camp, equipment, supplies, and materials will be added to the space. The summer camp is prepared to begin enrolling children. Though many areas could not be inspected due to no children in care at this time, there are no observed violations at this time. Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please e-mail me at shahana.green@doe.virginia.gov.
