An announced subsidy inspection was conducted on 5/24/23, initiated by a move notice. The inspection was conducted from 10:00 am to 11:40 am. There were no children present during the inspection. 1 record for the vendor, training certificates, and pet vaccination record, and 1 child's record was reviewed to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations. A walk through if the family day home was conducted.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-170-C Description: Based on record review, the vendor did not obtain a fingerprint based criminal record check (CRC), every five years.
Evidence: The vendor's most recent CRC expired on 2/27/23. A repeat CRC was not obtained.Plan of Correction: An appointment to get the fingerprints has been made for 5/25/23.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-210-B Description: Based on record review, the vendor did not undergo a tuberculosis (TB) screenings at least every two years from the date of the initial screening.
Evidence: The vendor's most recent TB screening expired on 10/19/22.Plan of Correction: TB screening has been scheduled for 5/30/23.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-250-F Description: Based on staff interview, the vendor did not complete the department's annual health and safety training.
Evidence: The vendor stated that she was not aware of the Virginia Health and Safety Update training, and she has not completed the training.Plan of Correction: The training will be completed.
