An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:40 am-2:45 pm. There were 74 children directly supervised by13 staff . Sight and sound supervision were in compliance. The children were observed during parent pick up and drop off, washing hands, participating in age appropriate activities and in transition to outside play. A sample of 5 staff records, required trainings and policies were also reviewed. Transportation and after school activities were also discussed. Standard #: 63.2(17)-1720.1-B-3 Description: Based upon records reviewed, center did not obtain required copy of the results of a search of the central registry maintained pursuant to ? 63.2-1515 and any child abuse and neglect registry or equivalent registry maintained by any other state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years for any founded complaint of child abuse or neglect against him Evidence: Staff A did not have out of state Central Registry Check completed at the time of hire. (12/18) Staff B did not have out of state Central Registry Check completed at the time of hire. (2/2018) Plan of Correction: We will make contact with states and request central registry checks id available.
