8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Vendor inquired about previous Phase II training for licensed family day homes. Licensing Inspector will obtain information regarding this training.
The Department's link to the website will be emailed to the Vendor.

An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today. Observed 3 children (9 points) directly supervised by thevendor/provider. Ratio and supervision were in compliance. 2 of the children in care were finishing lunch. Handwashing proceudres were observed before the children transitioned to nap time. One child was observed sleeping in a crib. Observation of the home was made which included the kitchen and bathroom. A total of 3 children's files and all household/vendor files were reviewed. No medication needs at this time and no identified food allergies. The exit interview was conducted with thevendor/provider. Inspection conducted between 12:20pm and 1:15pm. Standard #: 8VAC20-790-200-2-a Description: Based on review of background check results, one background check is expired.
Evidence:
Staff #1's Central Registry search result was not received within 5 years of the last search result.Plan of Correction: The specialist is assisting with the search request. Will forward for review.
