An announced Initial visit was conducted today.
There are currently no children enrolled in the daycare.
The home was inspected, adult household and vendor records were reviewed. All were complete.
There is one crib available for use (manufacture date 8/2012).
Discussed with caregiver: Handwashing, diapering area, yard debris.
There are age appropriate toys available for the age range you are interested in caring for when they enroll.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-260-A Description: Based on observation, equipment inside the home was not maintained in a clean safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
The smoke detector on the second level of the home, was "chirping" indicating a dead battery.Plan of Correction: The battery will be replaced.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-410-A-1 Description: Based on a review of first aid supplies, the first aid kit is incomplete.
Evidence:
Missing item : Digital thermometer.Plan of Correction: I will purchase a new thermometer.
