A n unannounced annual Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 03/05/2024 between 12:10pm and 12:42pm. One enrolled child was present with the provider. Child records, vendor records, the physical space, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and vendor training hours were reviewed and inspected. Standard #: 8VAC20-790-250-F Description: Based on record review, the vendor did not complete the department's health and safety update course annually.
Evidence:
1. The record for Caregiver #1 did not contain documentation of a completed health and safety update course.Plan of Correction: Vendor will complete the training.
Standard #: 8VAC20-790-430-A-2 Description: Based on record review and vendor interview, shelter in place procedures were not practiced twice per year.
1. Shelter in place procedures were practiced on 6/20/2023.
2. The vendor stated a second shelter in place drill was not completed in 2023.Plan of Correction: Vendor will practice 2 shelter in place drills every year.

1. Vendor stated evacuation drills for the months of November 2023- February 2024 were completed but not documented on the drill log provided for review.
2. Documentation of evacuation drills completed for November 2023-February 2024 was not available for review during inspection.Plan of Correction: Vendor will document all emergency drills completed.
