8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Comments:
An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on April 2, 2024, beginning at 9:03am and ending at 10:10am. There were no children in attendance at the time of the inspection. Required background searches, training certificates and household member information was reviewed. A sample of requirements for daily attendance, child information/records, emergency preparedness planning and supplies were also reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-190-A
Description: Based on record review and interview, the vendor did not maintain and keep at the family day home, written or electronic information for each enrolled child.
Evidence:
1. There was not a file to review for Child #3.
2. The vendor confirmed the parent for child #3 had not completed the paperwork.

Plan of Correction: I will speak to the father today and will have the paperwork by Thursday.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-190-B
Description: Based on record review and interview, the immunization records were not received on or before the child's first day of attendance.
Evidence:
1. Child #3 (Start date 08/2023) did not have an immunization record on file.
2. The vendor confirmed the immunization record had not been received.

Plan of Correction: I will tell the father to bring the immunization record by Thursday.
