An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today from approximately 11:00am-12:30pm. There were 3 children in care and 1 live in child present, directly supervised by the subsidy provider. Children were observed eating lunch of chicken soup with rice and vegetables and preparing for rest time. The home, emergency supplies and plans were inspected. Children?s records, Vendor records and household member documentation were also reviewed. There were no medications on site today. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: VENDHOM-000-006-B Description: Based on review of child information it was determined that all required information was not maintained. Evidence: During inspection Child1 was missing: Parents' work place and phone number and emergency contact. Child2 and Child3 was missing: address for emergency contacts. Plan of Correction: I will have the parents fill out the proper forms when they pick up the children.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-014-A Description: Based on inspection of Family Day Home it was determined that cleaning agents were not stored in areas inaccessible to children. Evidence: During inspection: Laundry detergent was stored on top of a container in the upstairs hallway accessible to children in care who use the rest room unattended. Plan of Correction: I will store it in a closed space.
