- Technical Assistance:
The provider shall provide documentation of completed training courses on or before December 18, 2015.
An unannounced full renewal inspection was conducted today. The provider and one assistant caregiver were caring for 4 children, totaling 14 points. The provider has recently redesigned the child care space to include a chalkboard area, reading area, and free choice activities. The provider has also redesigned the infant's nap room. The children were to be served turkey sandwiches on wheat bread, peas, oranges, and milk for lunch later today. This inspection was completed between approximately 9:45 am and 11:00 am. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-120-B Description: Based on a review of one assistant caregiver record, it was determined that this record was not complete. Evidence: The file for assistant caregiver #1 does not include documentation of two completed reference checks. Plan of Correction: I did telephone reference checks and asked for letters of recommendation from her previous employers. I will put the documentation in her file.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-b Description: Based on a review of background checks, it was determined that one caregiver has not completed all required background checks. Evidence: Assistant caregiver #1 has not completed and signed a Sworn Disclosure Statement. Plan of Correction: I will make sure she signs the form today.
