An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted beginning at 10:20 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m. with the provider. There were four children in care ranging in age from thirteen months to two years old for a total of thirteen points. Two children were observed at arrival time. Children were observed having free play and watching an age appropriate television program. The provider record, one staff record and one household member record were reviewed. The provider has completed fifteen hours of training for the license year. The provider has until 1/23/2016 to complete one additional hour of training. The provider is not Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified and cannot provide medications to children in care. Four children's records were reviewed. Emergency drills were up to date. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-B Description: Based on review of documentation, one adult file had a disqualifying background check on file. Evidence: Adult A's completed criminal history background record includes a conviction for a crime that disqualifies them from employment. Plan of Correction: The staff person will no longer be employed.
