An exit interview was conducted with the provider to discuss the results of today's inspection. Consultation was given regarding administrative records, night time standards, medication regulations, and outdoor play areas.
An initial inspection was conducted today, February 25, 2016 to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards for initial licensure. The inspection was initiated at 11:40am and concluded approximately 3:50pm. Although all standards were reviewed, some standards could not be determined as no children were present on this day. All administrative records were inspected to include required postings, emergency preparedness plan, policies, canine & provider records, and other pertinent information. The first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected along with the storage of hazardous chemicals. The outdoor playground was inspected with stipulations that will be added to the license. The entire home was inspected although children will primarily use the sun room, kitchen, restroom, and living room. The provider is stated to offer breakfast, lunch, and snack/dinner and will operate Sunday-Saturday offering overnight if required. Transportation and medication administration will not be offered at this time. See attached notice for violations found on this day. If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, contact the licensing inspector at (804) 662-9771.
