Technical Assistance:
Standard 22VAC40-111-(7)-250-B was discussed with the provider. The standard requires that toys or objects less than 1-1/4 inches in diameter and less than two inches in length are kept out of reach of children under the age of three years.

Comments:
An unannounced mandated monitoring inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 9:50 AM and departed at 11:30 AM. Six children, totaling ten points, were in care with one caregiver. Morning activities were observed. It was reported that no medication has been administered to the children and there have been no children's injuries since the previous inspection. One caregiver record and three children's records were reviewed. Am exit meeting was conducted with the provider during which the plan of correction for the violation cited was obtained. Please contact the inspector if there are any questions.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based upon observation, the provider has not ensured that potentially poisonous substances are stored to be inaccessible to children. Evidence: There were several containers of children's pump hand soap on the counter by the sink in the bathroom used by the children. The containers were labeled "caution, keep out of reach of children". The labels indicated not for use by children under the age of three years.

Plan of Correction: The provider responded with the following: The containers were immediately put in an area inaccessible to the children and will not be used unless under direct supervision when hand washing .
