Thank you for your assistance during today's unannounced renewal inspection conducted from 12:20 PM to 3:30 PM. Today, there was one child in care along with one resident child (3 points) in the care of the provider. I viewed daily routines, activities, staffing, supervision, interactions with children, one child's records, four records for caregivers/residents, caregiver training, emergency supplies and drill records, equipment and supplies, menu, snack, posted information, indoor and outdoor areas. The children enjoyed playing with dolls together. The caregiver read books to the children during rest time. Nutritious lunches have been provided. The caregiver has participated in regular training. Recommendation for the renewed license will be conducted after receipt of an updated background check that was requested. Also, please provide information about the updated TB statements. Let me know if you have any questions. 540/430-9259
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on a review of three caregiver/resident records, and an interview with the provider, the tuberculosis screenings and statements for caregiver 1 and resident 3 were not updated by two years from the date of the last statements. Evidence: The most recent screenings for both were completed on July 14, 2014. Plan of Correction: The caregiver has scheduled TB screenings for caregiver 1 and resident 3 at the health department on Thursday, September 1, 2016 where the screenings are now conducted every other Thursday.
A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor. Only programs enrolled in Virginia Quality will display a rating. Virginia Quality contact information for your region is available at the following link Regional Contacts.
