Reviewed the requirements for appropriate nap strategies.
An unannounced complaint investigation was conducted today. The Inspector completed staff interviews and a review of administrative documents today. After a review of all available information, this complaint was deemed not valid. However, violations not directly associated with the complaint were cited today. During this inspection the children were observed playing with toys and eating lunch. The children were served chicken nuggets, french fries, peaches, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-980-A Complaint related: No Description: Based on a review of children's transportation forms, it was determined that the provider has not obtained one required authorization form. Evidence: Either the provider or the assistant caregiver walks one school-age child to the local elementary school each morning. The provider has not asked the parent to sign the "General Permission for Regularly Scheduled Trips" document. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to sign the form today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-B Complaint related: No Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one electrical outlet was not covered. Evidence: One electrical outlet on the lower half of the wall in the child care area was not covered. Plan of Correction: The outlet was covered immediately during the inspection.
