22VAC40-191 Background Checks for Child Welfare Agencies
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 3:00 to 4:00pm. Five children were present with the provider. Total 10 points with one caregiver. The children finished eating snack and were engaged in free choice play, including block building, dramatic play, doing puzzles, and coloring. One child is new since the last inspection. His record was reviewed today. Background checks and TB tests are all complete for new household members. Provider is not administering any medication. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on observation, there was no written record of children in attendance today. Findings: At the time of the inspection, approximately 3:00pm, no written attendance record had been completed. Plan of Correction: A written record of children in attendance will be completed within 30 minutes of each child's arrival.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-80-C Description: Based on record review, it was found that there was no documentation the provider verified the identity and age of one new child who started in care on 11/28/2016. Plan of Correction: Verification of the age and identity of this child will be documented in the child's record.
