63.2 Liability Insurance Disclosure
An unannounced renewal inspection was completed on 05/03/2017. There were 6 children in care, ages 4 months-4 years, totaling 16 points. There was 1 provider and household member present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 2 children's records and the providers record. The children were observed during morning snack, free choice play and lunch. An exit interview including the risk assessment and non-compliance was completed at the end of the inspection on 05/03/2017. The inspector arrived at 10:00 a.m. and departed at 12:00 p.m.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-940-A Description: Based on the Licensing Inspector's observations, the provider failed to ensure that the refrigerator temperature was maintained below 40 degrees. Evidence: The thermometer located in the back of the kitchen refrigerator indicated that the compartment temperature was above 50 degrees. Plan of Correction: Will turn it down.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-540-A Description: Based on the Licensing Inspector's observations, the provider failed to ensure that all children are securely fastened when placed into rocking infant seats. Evidence: An 8 month old child was placed in an infant rocking seat without the safety straps securely fastened. Plan of Correction: Make sure the child is fastened in.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-540-B Description: Based on the Licensing Inspector's observations, the provider failed to ensure that infant walkers shall not be used. Evidence: An 8 month old infant was placed into an infant walker during the inspection. Plan of Correction: Will take the wheels off.
