22VAC40-191 Background Checks for Child Welfare Agencies
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 11:30am-1:15pm. There were 2 children(3 points) directly supervised by the provider. The home, 1 staff records, 2 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and eating lunch of chicken salad sandwiches, broccoli and fruit. Hand washing and lunch preparation procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A Description: Based on review of documentation and conversation with provider evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly. Evidence: During inspection provider explained she misunderstood the requirement and did not have documentation for monthly evacuation drills available. Plan of Correction: I will do it going forward.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on review of children's records all required information was not maintained. Evidance: During inspection Child #1 was missing parents' work number. Plan of Correction: I will fill it in tonight.
