Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on July 31 2017 between 10:15 and 11:30am. There were 6 children in the direct care of 3 staff members. The children were observed having water play, playing outside, singing, and listening to music. The family day home is clean, organized, and offers plenty of toys, books, and space to play. Staff were observed to be consistently engaged with the children, and the provider was observed training a new staff member throughout the inspection. The staff records, children's records, the evacuation drills, the physical space, and supervision were observed and inspected. If you have any questions regarding this inspection please contact me at 703-554-4995 or at derek.acosta@dss.virginia.gov
