- Technical Assistance:
An unannounced renewal inspection was made on 9/26/17 at 9:00 a. m. and concluded 11:45 a. m. The inspector met with the provider and Family Day Home standards were reviewed. There were eight children receiving care with points equaling 18 and two caregivers. The children were observed having free play with a variety of toys and equipment. Five children records reviewed. Two caregiver files checked. One observation conducted. No medications. Conversations held with caregivers and several children.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C Description: Based on review of the emergency evacuation log the family day home did not do all required evacuation drills. Evidence: On 9/26/17, there was no evacuation drill documented for August 2017. Evacuation drills should be conducted monthly and the drill should be documented. Plan of Correction: Will conduct monthly drills and document from now on.
