An announced initial inspection was conducted today from 8:30am-10:00am. The sample size consisted of 1 caregiver record and 3 household member records. There are two rooms in the family day home that will be used for child care, including a large basement. The basement area was organized into Montessori style classrooms and there was an abundant supply of books, toys, and developmentally appropriate materials for the children. Record keeping is well organized and all required documents are completed. The provider has a system for organizing children's records and keeping parents updated. A daily schedule, menu, and lesson plans have been completed and the provider is ready to begin accepting children into her family day home. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector at firstname.lastname@example.org
