Discussed with the provider: Getting more supplies for the school age children; assuring that the video games that you have are age appropriate; Letting social services know that you will be away and who will be caring for the children. Discussed changes to the USDA menu requirements.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted beginning at 11:00 and ending at 1:15. There were four children in care today, ages 15 months, 2 years and 2 5 year olds. Children were observed watching an age appropriate TV program, playimg with toys and having lunch of macaroni and cheese and grapes and milk. Reviewed Family Files - see violation notice Reviewed 4 children's files - see violation notice. Attendance form was complete Emergency escape drills are up to date as are Shelter in place drills. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of the files for the four children in care, it was determined that tqo children had missing information. Evidence: Child #1 did not have documentation that the emergency information was u.p to date. Child has been in care for more than one year.Child #2 does not have a physical on file. Child began care on 9/27/2017 Plan of Correction: Provider will get the parent to check information to make sure that it is current and will get a copy of the child's physical,
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on a review of the family files, it was determined that one family member had a TB test that was over two years old. Evidence: The TB test for Family member #3 had a TB test that expired on 9/5/17. A new TB test has not yet been done. Plan of Correction: Provider will remind family member to get a new TB test this week.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-340-C Description: Based on observation, it was determined that there was not all required items were in the bathroom. Evidence: There was no liquid soap or paper towels in the bathroom. Plan of Correction: The provider put paper towels and soap in the bathroom during the inspection.
