Discussed reviewing all previous emails that addressed changes in Background Searches. to be sure your program has a vendor ID in order to conduct finger print checks registry and contacting OBI regarding. OBI should be contacted for all questions related to finger print searches 804-726-7884
An unannounced inspection was conducted from 2:50-4:10 PM. There were 10 children present with the Provider and two assistants for a total 22 points. The Provider is currently enrolled in a NAEYC program that has advisors come to the program and provide suggestions. The children are now eating in home style and the Inspector observed the 3 year old children pour their drinks. The afternoon was full of activities for the children and age groups were given opportunities to engage in various options. Please call with questions 703-479-4679
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280 Description: Based on observation, the program has a few cleaning items located in an area accessible to the children. The children were eating snack in the downstairs kitchen area and the cabinet that holds cleaning items had a locking mechanism that did not work. Plan of Correction: We will replace the mechanism. The children are always under sight.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-680-A Description: Based on observation, the Provider did not wash hands after helping a child with toileting. Plan of Correction: It got busy but we always wash our hands.
