Thank you for your assistance during today's unannounced inspection conducted from 10:15 AM to 2:20 PM. Today, there were twelve children, ages one through five years (26 points) with two caregivers. I viewed program activities, daily routines, equipment, posted information, menu, nutrition, staffing, supervision, interactions with children, diapering procedures, injury reports, emergency supplies and drill records, five records for children, eight records for caregivers/residents, caregiver training, caregiver qualifications, indoor and outdoor areas. The children have enjoyed a variety of age appropriate choices for play indoors and outside. There have been regular opportunities for active play outside. Caregivers were observed providing attentive supervision and positive methods of guidance. Staff have utilized resources, such as books, for supporting children's learning and development as well as developing better understanding of the use of constructive behavioral guidance methods. No violations cited at this time. Let me know if you have any questions. 540/430-9259

An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K.
