A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 3/28/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspection took place from 10:15am - 11:45am. A total of 14 children [including 2 of the provider's children] were observed in the care of 2 caregivers. Children were observed engaged in a variety of group activities and were observed during handwashing, toileting, lunch and naptime. A sample of 5 children's records, 2 caregiver records, emergency drills and procedures were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: VENDHOM-000-005-B Description: Based on a review, the daily attendance did not document the arrival of each child in care as it occurred. Evidence: Upon inspector arrival, 12 children were observed in care; however, 7 children were documented on the daily attendance. Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-030-A-3 Description: Based on a review and discussion with provider, an annual lockdown drill was not practiced. Evidence: Lockdown procedures were not practiced within 1 year of signing subsidy agreement. Plan of Correction: We will practice our lockdown procedures.
