An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider and one assistant caregiver were caring for 10 children, totaling 32 points. Children's records, background checks, caregiver health records, caregiver training, children's nutrition, emergency preparedness items, and the physical plant were inspected today. The children were observed playing in the backyard, playing with indoor toys, engaging in creative play, and preparing to eat lunch.The children were to be served fish sticks, green beans, apples, and and milk for lunch today. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920 Description: Based on a review of posted documents, it was determined that the menu does not include all required information. Evidence: The menu has not been dated. Plan of Correction: The menu was dated during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on a review of administrative documents, it was determined that the provider has not maintained an accurate record of the children's attendance. Evidence: Upon arrival, a total of 10 children were present and in care. However, the written attendance indicated a total of only 5 children present. Plan of Correction: The attendance was corrected during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-490 Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one indoor play piece was placed over bare floor. Evidence: One indoor piece of climbing equipment was placed over the bare floor. Plan of Correction: I will get padding to put under the play piece.
