A subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on October 17, 2023 from approximately 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. There were 8 children present, ranging in ages from three to four years, with three staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and medication. A total of five children's records and three staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-580-A Description: Based on record review, the center failed to obtain documentation that each child has received the immunizations required by the State Board of Health before the child can attend the center.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-I Description: Based on record review, and interview, the center failed to ensure that there shall be at least one staff on duty who has obtained within the last three years instruction in performing a daily health observation of children.
