A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Friday, November 30, 2018 from approximately 1:45 PM until 3:30 PM to determine the provider's compliance with subsidy standards. In attendance were three non-resident children. The children were being supervised by one caregiver during the inspection. There was a total of six points based on the children?s ages. The children were observed napping when the inspector arrived. Later children were observed waking from nap time, naming different animals and playing with blocks and puzzles. The child care areas were filled with supplies and toys for the children. Five children?s records, one caregiver and two household members? records were reviewed.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
New subsidy requirements became effective on October 17, 2018. The facility has not yet complied with the following requirement:
? 22VAC40-665-400. Procedures for emergencies. Procedures for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency must be included in the emergency response plan.
