A discussion was held on notifying the licensing inspector if you will be closed or out of town for an extended period of time. You can used a sub provider for 240 hours a year.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:30am-12:00pm. There were 11 children (28 points) supervised by 2 direct caregivers. The home, staff records, children?s records, programming, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed engaging freely, doing art and dancing. Diapering procedures were also observed. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-960-E Description: Based on review, not all bottles located in the refrigerator are labeled with child's full name and date. Evidence: Bottles were located in the refrigerator without a child's full name and date. Plan of Correction: I will put the child's full name and date on each bottle.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on caregiver record review, the provider did not obtain an updated tuberculosis screening every two years for each caregiver. Evidence: Staff #1 does not have an documentation of an updated tuberculosis screening, last screening expired 10/16/18. Plan of Correction: She will go this week to get it done.
