Provided clarifiction regarding mandatory training.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 8 children with 3 staff present today. When the inspector arrived, the children were in small groups throughout the programming space. Some children were completing artwork at the table. The weekly theme this week are forest animals and the children were coloring pictures of bears and making trees out of construction paper. Some children were busy playing with magnets, blocks and books. Inspection of the kitchen area, programming space and medication was completed. A total of 6 children's records, all staff and all household records were reviewed. Previous violations from the last inspection were reviewed and corrective actions were verified. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-200-A Description: Based on staff record review, one staff did not receive orientation by the end of their first week. Evidence: Staff # 3 began employment on 2/12/19. Orientation training has not been completed. Plan of Correction: I will provide orientation training for this staff today.
