Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included record keeping, indoor areas and outdoor play equipment.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection took place today from 10:30 am - 12:15 pm. There were two children in care for 4 points. I observed children busy with a variety of activities: dramatic play with the pretend school bus and play kitchens; and movement and physical activity with a circle of colored plastic balls and preschool slide. I also saw preparation for lunch and the children eating lentils, rice and broccoli. The backyard area has been fenced. If you have any questions, please contact me at brenda.kuhlman@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-A
Description: Based on a review of records today, there was no documentation that two children in care today had been adequately immunized before beginning care. Evidence: There were no immunization records available for Child # 1 and Child #2 before they began care.

Plan of Correction: I have asked the parent and they said we will have it by next week.
