An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted from 11:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. There were 8 children in care with the provider and 2 assistants ages 2 months, 4 months, 8 months, 15 months, 22 months, 22 months, 23 months, and 2 years old for a total of 26 points. The children were observed participating in free play and eating lunch. Lunch served today is chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, peas, and milk. Allergy care plans were reviewed for children enrolled in the program with diagnosed food allergies. Staff records were reviewed for completion of Virginia Pre-Service Training and CPR, and First Aid. The most recent Lock Down drill was conducted 03/28/2018. There are reportedly no medications being administered to children in the family day home at this time.
