Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 10am-11:20am. There were 4 children (11 points) in the direct care and supervision of 1 caregivers. A sample of 2 children?s records and 1 caregiver's record were reviewed. The children were observed playing, engaged with provider, during bathroom procedures, and drawing. The family day home may close next month for about 5 weeks. Zero new caregivers have been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-B
Description: Based on record review, shelter-in-place procedures were not practiced a minimum of twice per year. Evidence: 1) Shelter-in-place procedures were practiced once in 2018. 2) Shelter-in-place procedures were last practiced 02/07/2018.

Plan of Correction: I will practice for 2019.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on record review, children's records were incomplete. Evidence: 1 of 2 Children's records reviewed were missing required information. 1) Child A was missing the insurance policy number.

Plan of Correction: I have to talk to the parent about missing information, I will do that today.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-A
Description: Based on observation, small electrical appliances were not unplugged. Evidence: 1) A toaster and an electric water heater were plugged in while children were in care. 2) The appliances were not being used by the provider.

Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection.
