Discussion of the subsidy regulations and how they apply to the Family Day Home (FDH). The new requirements that went into effect on 10/17/2018 were also discussed in detail.
A Subsidy Health and Safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted at the Rosario Luna FDH located in Chantilly, Virginia. This inspection was conducted on 04/10/2019, between the hours of 9:30 am through 12 pm (noon) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An Unannounced Monitoring Inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that were not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and were identified on the violation notice. If you should have any questions, please call or e-mail. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-400-B-7 Description: Based on review, the continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency was not listed within the Family Day Home's (FDH's) Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EP&RP) form. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (04/10/2019), the continuity of operation procedures to ensure that essential functions were maintained during an emergency (that went into effect - 10/17/20190 were not listed in the FDH's EP&RP. 2. The Provider was unaware of this new requirement, but stated that she will add it to the EP&RP form. Plan of Correction: This procedure shall be developed and then added to the EP&RP form. It shall also be practiced during each drill.
