An announced initial inspection was conducted from 8:15am-10:15am. An inspection of the home was conducted in addition to a records review. The licensee does not have any pets and does not provide transportation.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A-1 Description: Based on observation the licensee did not have all required items in the first aid kit. Evidence: The first aid kit did not have antiseptic or a working thermometer. Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the licensee during the exit interview: The licensee will purchase a new thermometer and antiseptic for the first aid kit this week.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-770 Description: Based on observation the licensee did not have all required emergency supplies. Evidence: The licensee did not have a battery-operated weather band radio Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the licensee during the exit interview: The licensee will purchase a weather-band radio this week.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-A Description: Based on a record review the licensee did not have all required components to the written emergency preparedness and response plan. Evidence: The licensee's emergency preparedness plan was from the Navy and did not include all components required. Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the licensee during the exit interview: The licensee will download the state's emergency plan form and fill it out. The completed plan will be sent to the inspector.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-G Description: Based on observation the licensee did not ensure the fireplace had an inspection. Evidence: The licensee has a fireplace in the day care room did not have an inspection. Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the licensee during the exit interview: The licensee will contact a chimney company today and schedule an inspection.
