Technical Assistance:
Reminded the provider that all occupied cribs must be spaced at least 12" apart. No children were sleeping in cribs during this inspection, and the provider reported that the side-by-side cribs are moved and spaced apart when occupied by children.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider and two assistant caregivers were caring for 11 children, totaling 30 points. Children's records, health records, caregiver training, the indoor/outdoor physical plant, emergency preparedness items, children's nutrition, and caregiver:child interactions were inspected today. The provider reported that no children's medications and no children's topical ointment products were on site today. The children were observed playing with toys, engaging in creative play activities, and playing outside. The children were to be served macaroni and cheese, broccoli, apples, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:00am and 11:25am. Thank you for meeting with me today. If you have any questions regarding this inspection please email me at sandra.dimperio@dss.virginia.gov
