An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today from 10:45-12:00. Eight children were in care with two caregivers for twenty points which is within ratios for supervision. Home is well equipped with an ample supply of materials and equipment for young children. Space is labeled and organized for children to promote pre-literacy skills and shape recognition. During the visit, children were singing and dancing with scarves, circle time with large magnets, free play in housekeeping and using musical instruments. No medication is reported to be on-site today. Emergency preparation is current. Three children's records were reviewed and were complete. Both caregivers exceed the annual training hours requirement as they participate in Early Head Start trainings. . If you have any questions regarding the inspection, please feel free to contact me.
