Inspector and provider discussed moving the changing table and space arrangement in the home.
A focused monitoring inspection was conducted today, July 22, ,2019 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. There were 4 children ( 11 points) in care directly supervised by 2 caregivers. Observations were conducted and an inspection of physical plant and emergency procedures was conducted. Children were observed finishing lunch. Lunch was provided from home. The children were observed playing freely and riding small cars in the home. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A Description: Based on observation, areas outside of the family day home were not kept in a clean and safe condition. Evidence: The paint on the outdoor patio is peeling and chipping. Children use the patio for riding small bikes and water play. The paint causes a potential safety hazard to children. Plan of Correction: We have hired someone to clean and paint the patio.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-B Description: Based on observation, two unused electrical outlets did not have child-resistant protective covers in place. Evidence: One unused electrical outlet to the right of the main door did not have a protective cover in place. One unused electrical outlet to the right of the bathroom door did not have a protective cover in place. Plan of Correction: Covers were placed into the unused outlets during inspection.
