Technical Assistance:
Discussed the Virginia Preservice Training and the new additional annual training required for Subsidy providers(due in March 2020).

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on August 8, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The subsidy requirements were reviewed this date; allergy action plans, staff trainings, nutrition and food services, recordkeeping, hazardous substances, reporting injuries, emergency plans and transportation. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Description: Based on review and interview, the caregiver has not completed Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff sponsored by the Department of Social Services, to include all of the topics described in subsection B of this section, within 90 days of the date this regulation became effective. Evidence: 1. The caregiver stated she had not completed the training and did not have a certificate. 2. The caregiver stated the Assistant had not completed the training and did not have a certificate.

Plan of Correction: We will both get it done.
