Technical Assistance:
All children attending the family day home should have a physical record present in the home and should be recorded on the daily attendance. Caregivers should not be responsible for supervising more than 16 point using the system outlined in the minimum standards. All children receiving care in the family day home are considered as part of the program.

Comments:
A complaint investigation was initiated on July 18, 2019 and ended on July 29, 2019 regarding the provider caring for a greater number of children than his licensed capacity. An inspection and interviews were conducted. There was not a preponderance of evidence to support the allegation regarding enrolled children exceeding the licensed capacity. The complaint was deemed not valid.

Description: Based on observation, medication was not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: A tube of topical methyl salicylate was observed on a shelf to the right of the lower level entrance on July 18, 2019.

Plan of Correction: I will keep medicine locked.
