Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:55pm-2:35pm. There were 2 children (5 points) directly supervised provider. The home, 2 staff records, 2 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Per provider, there were no medications on site today. Children were observed sleeping. There was an adequate supply of books, toys, and materials for the children.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A
Description: Based on review of emergency drill documentation the inspector was unable to verify that monthly drills were conducted as required.

Evidence Provider did not have an evacuation drill documented for the month of August

Plan of Correction: I will continue to conduct the drills monthly.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on review of child records it was determined that all required information was not maintained.

Evidence: During inspection: Child 2 was missing: all information for 1 of 2 required emergency contacts, the address for 1 of 2 emergency contact and work phone number for both parents listed.

Plan of Correction: I will speak with the parent today.
